château le haget is one of the loveliest chateaux in the gers. it lies within a stone's throw of montesquiou, a little village in the heart of gascony, the homeland of d'artagnan. in the ‘tuscany of france' with its green and golden hills it seems as if time has been standing still. at the markets, farmers sell their vegetables, their poultry and their home made goat's cheese. gascons adore good food and wine and this region is famed for its ‘foie gras', ‘confit', ‘magret de canard', fine wines and especially armagnac…

the chateau is situated in the midst of a magnificent park with many exotic trees, brought back in the 19th century by its first owner from his many travels. there is a big swimming pool with a pleasant terrace, a children's playground, table tennis tables and a boules court. in the vicinity are tennis courts, and several magnificent golf courses (where you don't have to wait your turn).
beautiful walking and cycling circuits have been planned out nearby.

you are always welcome at the château le haget. in summer you can pitch a tent, or rent a chalet or a ‘gîte'. at any time of year you can rent an apartment or a suite or a comfortable room in the chateau. le haget also offers accommodation for groups, seminars, meetings and courses.
